How can a small staff of dedicated volunteers literally serve an army?
Operation Interdependence® does it with Endicia.
OI®, the premier Civilian-to-Military Delivery
System in the US, enables people stateside to send personal notes and
treats to those on the frontlines, without impacting military resources.
For some, this is the only communication they receive from home.
From 13 US distribution centers, OI ships civilian rations to over
50,000 platoons.
Each OI participant, after registering and being security checked,
encloses a note and treats in a quart-sized bag (with $1
for postage when possible), and gives the bag to an OI coordinator.
Once 50 bags are collected, the coordinator packs them in a box
and sends them to an OI Area Manager for inspection and screening.
The box is then forwarded to a platoon when
it deploys. According to OI VP, Jane Schwartz, “Endicia has reduced
the time to prepare packages for shipment by 600%,
saving us 83% in cost."
OI is well on its way to achieving its goal – to supply each serviceman
and woman with some treats and a letter from home each month.

Batch Printing
If you like to process your orders in batch instead of one-by-one,
consider the following options:
If you are sending all your packages in the same mail class & weight, you can
batch print the labels through DAZzle. Just import your addresses or
select them in the Address Book, choose the weight and class of service,
then print.

Why do I get the error: "state not recognized" on a domestic address?
A.
Having US, USA, or United States in the last two address lines
can cause this error. The country is not needed for domestic mail -
remove from the address.

known as the "Printer Guy" for his expertise with printers, and other hardware.
Jimi is a musician in his spare time - he writes and records his own music,
and plays with some local San Francisco Bay Area bands as a keyboardist from
