COMMUNITY SPOTLIGHT
DOUA Logo. The DOUA, a volunteer-based non-profit organization consisting of the impaired and non-impaired, serves to help the disabled become self-reliant via selling on the Internet. It focuses its efforts on creating financial independence, bringing technology to the disabled by way of motivation, individualized support, and other resources. Its Helping Hand Program assists the disabled in becoming online auctioneers, an occupation that enables them to work at their own pace, determine their own hours, and not draw attention to their disabilities.

Marjie Smith – founder of the DOUA and eBay business Abovethemall, preparer of shipments for both entities, and wheelchair-bound herself – comments: “Using Endicia, I no longer need to visit the Post Office or handwrite labels; thus, I save 2 to 4 hours per day, freeing me up to spend more time to grow and improve the DOUA and Abovethemall.”

As for the future, the DOUA continues to expand, having added several international students and mentors within the past year. It hopes to increase, for years to come, its reach into international communities.

FEATURE STORY
Damaged Parcel Illustration. Insurance Without The Hassles!
Ever had to go to the Post Office to insure a package? Got sticker shock? Tried to file a claim? Wondered if it was worth the work?

That's why we offer Endicia Insurance - just declare the value of your package and select Endicia Insurance when you print the shipping label and you're done! No extra sign-ups, no forms to fill, no standing in line at the post office, and you do not need to send in any monthly manifests. You can insure your packages for up to $5,000 - to US addresses as well as most International destinations. Not only are Endicia's rates up to 75% less than USPS retail rates, but they are - by far - the lowest Internet Postage rates. These savings add up - if you aren't using Endicia Insurance, you could be spending thousands of dollars more than you need to.

If you ever need to file a claim, we've made that easier too. You select the shipment you sent from your account and print a pre-filled claim form. Sign the form and send it in along with the supporting documents.

And if you have your own third party insurance, such as U-PIC; or if you want to use USPS Insured Mail anyway, Endicia supports those too.

IN THE NEWS
Priority Mail Shoe Box. Shipping Shoes?
The USPS is making it easy for retailers and customers shipping footwear to "strut their stuff," with the new Priority Mail free Shoe Box that will accommodate almost any brand and size shoe.

Designed for footwear and clothing retailers, along with direct-to-customer businesses, the new Priority Mail box allows shippers to simply slide in a boxed pair of shoes for easy shipping. The shipping cost is based on weight & zone (not a flat rate box). The box measures 7-1/2 inches by 5-1/8 inches by 14-3/8 inches and is self sealing. As with all Priority Mail packaging, it is available at no additional cost to Priority Mail shippers.

To order yours, visit www.usps.com/shippingsupplies or call 1-800-610-8734 for large orders.

SUPPORT CORNER
Did You Know?
If you are planning a move or have recently moved, did you know that there are 4 places you need to update your address?
  • The return address on every label layout you use.

  • The Physical Address on your account page.

  • The Mailing Address on your account page.

  • The Delivery Confirmation section in DAZzle.

This last place, in the Postage menu under Options/Delivery Confirmation tab, is often overlooked. However, this is the sender address logged on the Track & Confirm site whenever you use Delivery Confirmation.

F.A.Q.
Q.  Why am I being charged more than my service fee?
A.  Usually, this is because you have added Endicia Insurance to one or more of your packages. We add up any Endicia Insurance fees you accumulate during the month and bill those at the same time as your service fee. Hence, you may see larger charges depending on your insurance usage.
