Endicia's Windows software updated to version 6.2 in October.
Here’s a summary of the changes and new features:
- Endicia now supports Delivery Confirmation to many
APO/FPO addresses and most U.S. Territories.
- Addresses can now be added to the address book straight
from the design window, so you can capture them
without retyping.
- Accidental double-prints are now detected and flagged
with a warning message to the user.
- A click on the “I Forgot” button in the account
setup dialog box now lets you reset your pass phrase.
- New layouts have been added to support the latest label printers.
- Support for an expanded number of USB and
serial scales is now available.
- A new, industry standard database format improves
the performance of the software Postage Log.
The new Postage Log also supports archiving and
exporting in XML format.
- Refund requests are now recorded locally, enabling
support for postage reprints in more cases.

HARRY'S HINTS
|
The Postal Service now offers Delivery Confirmation to most military (APO & FPO)
addresses. As with domestic mail, this option is free when you use
Priority Mail.
With Endicia Premium, you can also print pre-filled customs forms for your
APO/FPO shipments, completing the solution.
Addressing these shipments may be the trickiest part, but here are some simple
guidelines:
A. The first line is the recipient's full name and rank.
B.
The second line is the vessel's name for ships.
Otherwise, it is the PSC, CMR,
or UNIT number, followed by the BOX number.
C. The third (last) address line uses a City, ST ZIP format, where:

City is APO for Army or Air Force installations; and
FPO for Navy installations and ships.

ST is AA for the Americas;
AE for Europe, Canada, Africa, or the Middle East; and
AP for Asia or the Pacific.
Remember to include a return address and study the
restrictions on military mail.

Can I use a checking account to buy postage?
A.
Yes. You can setup direct debit from your checking account when you
sign up for an account, or from our account management web-pages after
you sign up. Whenever you press the "Buy" button in DAZzle, the postage
amount will be automatically debited to your checking account.
Alternatively, you can use ACH Credit or other fund transfer mechanisms.
