About Postage Accounts

Your postage account is a pre-paid account from which you buy postage. That is:

You pre-pay for postage, and the postage amount is added to your postage account.
Each time you print postage, the postage amount is deducted from your account.

Each time you start the software, you actually log in to your postage account over the Internet. To keep your account secure, you log in with your account number and Pass Phrase.
