On March 24th, 1998 Endicia announced the formation of a partnership with Microsoft to produce a suite of next-generation mailing software. The first two products from this partnership, DAZzle Express V1.0 from Endicia and Direct Mail Manager from Microsoft were released that same week.

Endicia developed Direct Mail Manager which is released as part of Microsoft Office 97 and Office 2000. It breaks new ground for mailing software by providing a wizard-like interface to guide the user step-by-step through the confusing process of producing a bulk (discount) mailing.
