USPS to Deliver Packages 7 Days a Week During the Holidays

Starting November 17 through Christmas Day, the U.S. Postal Service will be delivering packages seven days a week in major cities and high volume areas. Read more.

How to Create a Positive Returns Experience

When it comes to offering buyers return shipping at an economical price, the USPS has the lowest rates for lighter weight packages. Not to mention the convenience of being able to simply hand packages to a carrier, drop in any blue USPS collection box or hand packages off at the Post Office without having to wait in line.

Ecommerce businesses can also take advantage of one of the most exciting returns innovations Endicia launched this year: Pay-on-Use Returns. This service, available exclusively through Endicia, makes it possible for online sellers to create a positive, hassle-free return shipping experience without the risk of losing money on unused, pre-paid shipping labels or spending valuable time monitoring for refunds on those labels.

Check out what our co-founder, Harry Whitehouse, has to say about the benefits of Pay-on-Use Returns.

Protecting your Packages against Financial Loss

Even with all the packaging in the world, things can still go wrong. For this reason, parcel insurance coverage for delivery can help recoup losses in the event of a mishap. In addition to protecting against financial loss, parcel insurance can provide peace of mind for more discerning customers. Many electronic postage providers, including Endicia, offer competitive rates that make it worth the investment. Some even cover shipping or freight charges. Whichever service you choose, any possible consideration that can be taken to ensure happy customers will pay for itself in the long haul.

Is Your Business Ready for FedEx and UPS’ New Dimensional Weight Pricing?

Beginning on December 29 for UPS and January 1 for FedEx, all ground service packages will be subject to dimensional weight rating with no minimum volume threshold. This means ecommerce businesses could see a substantial hike in shipping costs for larger, but lighter-weight packages. We recommend looking at your shipping mix now so that you’ll be prepared when the changes go into effect at the end of the year.

Update on U.S. Postal Service January Price Change

The U.S. Postal Service has decided not to seek a price change for mail and shipping products and services in January. This means that the current pricing of postal products and services will remain in effect through the holiday season and early part of 2015. As always, we will keep you updated in advance of any new USPS product or service changes.
