How to request a refund

refund Ever need to request a postage refund after printing an unused Endicia shipping label? If you have yet to mail or ship an item, then you can apply for a refund.

There are two types of refunds: regular refunds and electronic refunds.

Regular refunds, also known as physical refunds, are refunds for non-tracked items. Regular refunds must be requested within 60 days of the date shown on the indicium. These refunds require physical submission of the original mailpiece.

Electronic refunds, also known as e-refunds, are refunds for domestic labels with an Intelligent Mail barcode (IMb), an Intelligent Mail package barcode (IMpb), or international labels printed using an integrated customs form. The request for an electronic refund must be made within 30 days of printing the label. Most refunds are processed two weeks after the original refund request.

Regular Refunds

To request a regular refund, log into your Endicia online account and select My Account > Tools > Request a Postage Refund. Complete relevant fields on the left side of the Refund Request page and follow the instructions that appear on the right side of the page.

Electronic Refunds

The steps for requesting an electronic refund vary slightly depending on what Endicia software you use.

Endicia Premium and Endicia Standard

  • On the Postage Log tab, select the transaction to be refunded.
  • Select Actions > E-Refund…
  • If your browser displays your account login page, enter your account credentials.
  • Your browser displays the Refund Request page. Follow the instructions to submit your electronic refund request.

Endicia Professional

  • On the Postage Log tab, select the transaction to be refunded.
  • Click the Refund button.

Endicia for Mac

  • On the Mailing Log tab, select the item to be refunded.
  • Click Refund.
  • Click Process Refund. A message should indicate that the postage for this item will be refunded to your postage account two weeks after the original printing date.
  • Click OK.

Endicia Platinum Shipper

  • Select Postage > Request Refund… from the menu.
  • Your web browser will display your account login page, where you will enter your account credentials.
  • Your browser displays the Refund Request page. Follow the instructions to submit your electronic refund request.
