Reset Your Pass Phrase

The Pass Phrase is required when using the Endicia postage application. Postage printing and purchasing are not available if you have entered the incorrect Pass Phrase.

You may need to reset your Pass Phrase when:

For security purposes, Endicia suspends the account after five attempts to log in using the incorrect Pass Phrase. When the account is suspended, you cannot print postage or log in to the Endicia website. Resetting the Pass Phrase clears the account suspension.

Two methods to reset your Pass Phrase are:

Steps—Method A

  1. Go to http://www.endicia.com/support/ForgotPassphrase/.
  2. Enter your Account Number and click Continue.
  3. Enter the answer to your Security Question and click Email Me My Pass Phrase.

You have five chances to answer the security question. If you answer correctly, the system generates a new temporary Pass Phrase and sends the Pass Phrase to the email address on record for the account within four hours.

  4. Check your email—including your junk mail folder, just in case—for the new temporary Pass Phrase.
  5. Run your Endicia application, such as DAZzle, Endicia for Mac, DYMO Stamps, or DYMO Printable Postage.

If you normally use Platinum Shipper or Endicia Professional, run DAZzle.

  6. When you start the Endicia application, when prompted, enter the temporary Pass Phrase.

If you are not prompted for the Pass Phrase, you will be prompted for it when you print postage.

  7. If asked whether you want to reset the Pass Phrase, click No.
  8. Enter the temporary Pass Phrase and click OK.
  9. When prompted to change the temporary Pass Phrase, enter a new Pass Phrase.
  10. You should see a message that the Pass Phrase was successfully changed.
  11. Inform any other people who use this account of the new Pass Phrase.
  12. If you use DYMO Printable Postage or DYMO Stamps and any other Endicia applications, enter the new Pass Phrase in any applications that you use that you did not run in Step 5.
