You can import address data from delimited text fields into DAZzle for use in printing.
Important! Your delimited text file can use only commas or spaces or tabs as delimiters or field separators. For text separators, you can use either the double quote " or the single quote '.
Steps
From the Address Book tab, select File > Import.
In the Files of type field, select Text, Delimited.
Navigate to the folder where your delimited text file is.
Select your text file and click the Open button.
The Delimited File Options dialog box appears.
Map your text file fields to DAZzle Professional fields:
In the left column under File Field, select the field in the delimited text file that you want to use in an address, for example, the Last Name of the person.
In the right column under DAZzle Professional Field, select the matching field.
DAZzle draws a line connecting the two fields, and the sample address box displays the field.
After you have mapped each field, click OK.
Optional: Select one or more Options:
Skip First Record...MORE The first record of a delimited text file sometimes contains field names. To skip this record when printing, select the Skip First Record check box.
Save Dash in ZIP Code...MORE To display the dash in nine-digit ZIP Codes, select the Save Dash in ZIP Code check box. Otherwise, DAZzle stores only the nine-digits without the dash.
Optional: Specify field and text separators.
Field...MORE In a delimited text file, fields are separated by a special character, such as a comma or tab. If the text file you are using contains a field separator other than the default character, select the correct character from the Field list.
Text Delimiter...MORE The data in a text field are usually enclosed in double quotation marks ("). If the text file you are using contains a different text delimiter, select the correct character. Select {none} if your file does not use a text delimiter.
