About Data Post-Back

The data post-back feature lets you get updated shipment data, such as tracking numbers, ship dates, and postage amounts, back into your database. Using the data post-back feature is optional.

Setting up the Post Back Data Map is similar to setting up the Order Lookup Data Map, where you establish the connection to the data source and the table that contains the fields that need mapping for retrieving orders on the Order Lookup tab. The data post-back feature needs a single table. The source and post-back tables may be the same table, different tables in the same database, or even different tables in different databases.
