Change Your Account Preferences

In Account Preferences, you can:

Change your service plan account number:

This could happen if you closed your account and some time later opened a new account.

Enter or change your Pass Phrase:

This could happen if you follow security practices to change your Pass Phrase from time to time, or you closed your account and opened a new account with a new Pass Phrase.

Set the proxy server:

Configure the proxy server settings in case the default setting does not work.

Establish a postage amount warning limit:

This setting warns you when the postage exceeds a set amount.

Enable Reference ID:

This setting lets you track postage printed by projects or departments. You can then use the Account Transactions Report to track expenses by Reference ID. If enabled, the Reference ID field appears on the main window.

Require Reference ID when printing:

This setting enhances your ability to track postage printed.

Steps

1. Select Printable Postage > Preferences.

   The Preferences dialog box appears.

2. To set up your account:
   1. Enter your Account Number.
   2. Enter your Pass Phrase.
   3. Optionally, select Save Pass Phrase in Keychain to have the system remember your Pass Phrase every time you log in to Printable Postage.
3. To set the Postage Warning Limit:
   1. In the Postage Warning Limit area, select Confirm printing when postage value exceeds.
   2. Select an amount from the list.
4. To set the optional Reference ID settings:
   1. Select the Enable Reference ID check box.
   2. If you have selected the Enable Reference ID check box, select the Require Reference ID when printing check box to always require entry of a Reference ID for each postage print.
5. Click OK.
