Install DAZzle in Act!

• Note: If you are using Act! v3.0, see Installing DAZzle in Act! 3.0 for instructions.

You can customize Act! to include a button on the toolbar to launch DAZzle and display a menu of choices for using DAZzle with Act!.

First, you create a macro, and then you add the button to run the macro.

Create a Macro to Launch DAZzle

Steps

1. In Act!, select Edit > Macro > Record Macro.
2. Enter the macro name: DAZzle
3. Enter the description: Launch DAZzle for Act!
4. In the Mouse list, select Ignore Mouse.
5. Click the Record button.
6. Press Alt+F (to display the File menu—Do not use the mouse!).
7. Press L (for launch - Again, do not use the mouse!).
8. On the command line, enter: c:\dazzle\dazzle.exe -act.
   • Note: Your command may be different if you installed DAZzle in a directory other than C:\DAZZLE. If you did use another directory, replace C:\DAZZLE in the preceding command with the directory that contains the DAZzle application.
9. Press the Tab key three times (until OK is selected) and press Enter.
10. After pressing Enter, DAZzle displays a window with the DAZzle for Act! choices.

Add a Button to Your Toolbar to Run the Macro

Steps

1. In Act!, select Edit > Preferences.
2. In the Modify list, select Custom Icons.
3. In Additional Icons box, select an icon.
4. Below the Additional Icons box, click the Add button.
5. In the list of macros, select the macro DAZzle, and click OK.
6. In the Preferences box, click OK.
