First Internet Postage Service to Support International Mail and Electronic Delivery Confirmation

05/31/2001

PALO ALTO, Calif.

Envelope Manager Software announces the availability of the next generation of its Endicia Internet Postage(™) service. Version 4.2.6 of the DAZzle(™) 2001 software adds support for International Mail, all the Package Services with Electronic Delivery Confirmation, and enhanced support for Special Services.

Endicia Internet Postage, which gained U.S. Postal Service approval in January 2001, was the first Internet Postage service to support Free Electronic Delivery Confirmation on Priority Mail delivery. With this release, Endicia adds to it's technology lead by being the first and only Internet Postage service to provide customers with International Mail and Electronic Delivery Confirmation on Priority Mail and Package Services. "Our customers have been saving thousands of dollars with the Free Electronic Delivery Confirmation feature on Priority Mail," said Harry Whitehouse, president, Envelope Manager Software. "This release expands the reach of Internet Postage further into the small business's mailing and shipping needs, and provides further opportunities for money- and time-savings."

Major Features

Endicia users can now print postage for both Domestic and International destinations, and send letters and packages around the world from Abu Dhabi to Zimbabwe. Endicia doesn't just print the postage, it's a complete solution for mailing overseas. Endicia's International Mail Advisor shows users all the mail classes, rates, restrictions, prohibitions, observations, customs forms, and areas served for every destination. Users simply provide the address, select the mail class and weight, then print the envelope or label.

Endicia users can also print postage for all the Package Services as well as Priority Mail and Express Mail. The Package Services are Parcel Post, Media Mail, Library Mail, and Bound Printed Matter (BPM). Endicia lets users print Electronic Delivery Confirmation for Package Services, at a discounted fee of $0.12 per package (saving $0.38 per package over Retail Delivery Confirmation). Endicia's Electronic Delivery Confirmation is free for Priority Mail, which is another savings of $0.40 per package. Users also get the added convenience of 1-click status checks on all their packages. This eliminates the need for keeping receipts or tracking numbers and typing that information in every time they need to get a package status.
