Firefighters Bookstore's Need
Founded in 1985, Firefighters Bookstore sells books and training material to firefighters, aspiring firefighters, fire-training academies, and anyone purchasing on their behalf. Firefighters Bookstore relies on Priority Mail Flat Rate™ Envelopes and Boxes to ship its books, so it needed a solution that would allow it to print postage labels for those mail types. It also wanted a solution that would simplify the insurance process.
An Endicia customer since December 2003, Firefighters Bookstore uses Endicia for postage, insurance, and tracking. With online viewing of account transactions (e.g., postage purchases, postage prints, trackable items, Endicia-insured items, and Printable Postage) and delivery status for shipments with electronic USPS Tracking (formerly Delivery Confirmation), Firefighters Bookstore saves time and money. It also finds the instant e-mails it receives when postage is purchased extremely helpful for accounting purposes.
Additionally, Firefighters Bookstore uses Endicia Parcel Insurance, which unlike USPS® Insurance, has no paperwork to apply the insurance and provides a savings over USPS Insurance.
Firefighters Bookstore also uses Commerce Management System (CMS) by NewHaven Software, an Endicia Integrated Partner, to streamline printing postage labels. CMS acts as a catalog-management software, providing Firefighters Bookstore with the customer’s history, shipping options, product pricing, and pretty much whatever else is needed to operate the business.
