Ship Priority Mail International Parcels to Cuba with Endicia!

The United States Postal Service® used to only support limited direct transportation mail services to Cuba, and the option to ship packages up to 22 pounds with improved delivery times and package tracking via Priority Mail International® is a new opportunity.

Here’s everything you need to know about using Endicia to ship Priority Mail International parcels: 

What do I need to do?

This change is automatic for all Endicia software, with no action needed on your part. However, if you are using a partner application and Cuba is not currently included in the destination country drop-down list, you may have to wait for an update from the partner.

Weight limits

Priority Mail International Small Flat Rate Boxes allow weights up to 4 pounds. Priority Mail International Medium and Large Flat Rate Boxes cannot exceed 20 pounds, and Priority Mail International ordinary parcels (with customer-provided packaging) are capped at 22 pounds.

Minimum and maximum dimensions

The surface area of the address side of the item to be mailed must be large enough to completely contain the international shipping label generated by Endicia.

Maximum length is 59 inches, with a length-plus-girth limit of 108 inches. For all parcels, length is the longest side of the parcel, and girth is the measurement around the thickest part that is perpendicular to the length.

Pricing groups

Priority Mail International Flat Rate Envelopes and all Flat Rate Boxes fall under Priority Mail International Flat Rate price group 8. Priority Mail International parcels, fall under price group 9.

Customs form

Endicia will automatically generate the correct customs form for use with Priority Mail International packages to Cuba.

Insurance and indemnity

Priority Mail International parcels containing non-negotiable documents are insured against loss, damage or missing contents up to $100 at no additional charge. Parcels containing merchandise are insured against loss, damage or missing contents up to $200 at no additional charge. No additional document reconstruction or merchandise insurance will be available for purchase.

Value limit

Regardless of the service used, Cuban national regulations limit the value of merchandise to $200. Individual shipments containing goods over this limit may be confiscated upon entering Cuba or returned to sender.
