Create a Quick Label

The Quick Label tab:

• Consolidates many of the choices—such as mail class, weight, and insurance—onto one form.
• Automatically uses the layout for you based on your choices.
• Lets you print one label at a time.

• Note You cannot use custom layouts on the Quick Label tab; for using custom layouts, use the Design tab to print your labels.

Steps

1. Complete the Address Information ...MORE

   • From: Enter the address from which you are sending the mailpiece.
   • To: Enter the delivery address.
   • Verify Address: Use Dial-A-ZIP to verify a US domestic delivery address.
   • Address Lookup: (Optional) For reference purposes only, look up an international address. Always verify the delivery address with the recipient to ensure accuracy.
   • Customs Form: (International Only): To complete the integrated customs form, click the Customs Form button. For more information, see Complete the Customs Form.
   • International Info (International Only): Display rate, prohibitions, restrictions, observations, customs forms, areas served, and Priority Mail Express International information: Click International Info.
   • Canada Returns Shipments: See Create Canada Returns Shipping Labels.
2. Complete the Physical Characteristics ...MORE

   • Package Type: Select the envelope or box that matches your mailpiece.
   • Weight: Enter the weight of your mailpiece, including the package. If you are using a supported, connected scale, click Read Scale to have the weight information entered for you.
   • Dimension: Enter the length, width, and height of your package.
   • Access the Packaging Advisor: The Packaging Advisor shows you mailing options and costs for Priority Mail, Priority Mail International, Priority Mail Express, and Priority Mail Express International. The Packaging Advisor lets you compare prices and select the option that is the most cost effective: Click Help Me Choose.
     
3. Complete the Shipping Options ...MORE

   Your choices vary according to delivery address and package type.

   • Mail Class: Select the mail delivery service, such as First-Class Mail, Priority Mail, and so on.
   • Optional: Extra Services: Depending on the delivery address, physical characteristics, mail class, and other factors, extra services may be available, such as tracking, signature service, and required or restricted adult signature.
   • Optional: Insurance Coverage: Enter a valuation amount for insurance purposes.
   • Optional: Insurance Provider: Select the insurance provider, such as Endicia Parcel Insurance, USPS Insured Mail, and a third-party insurance provider.
   • More Options: Access and set up Postage Printing Options. Choices may include Certified Mail, Return Receipt, Restricted Delivery, Registered Mail, COD, USPS Insured Mail, date and amount corrections, Signature Confirmation, and Adult Signature.
   • Note: USPS Tracking is included at no additional charge for all domestic package mail classes except Marketing Mail.
   • Use Stealth Postage: For Premium and higher service plan accounts only, replace the postage amount with US POSTAGE AND FEES PAID. ...MORE
     Stealth Postage does not display the actual postage amount on the mailpiece. Instead of showing the amount, the indicium image displays US POSTAGE AND FEES PAID. Stealth Postage is allowed for any mailpiece with an Intelligent Mail barcode, except:
     - Letters
     - Items where the postage amount is dependent on the declared value of the shipment, such as USPS insurance, COD, or Registered Mail.
     
     Note: If you are using the integrated customs form and the Stealth Postage option, customs regulations of the importing country may require postage amount information on the customs form even though the USPS allows the postage amount to be hidden in the indicium which may cause customs delays.

   • eBay seller: For Standard service plan accounts only! Select check box if you are shipping and tracking an item that you sold through eBay.

     Note: For Premium and higher service plan accounts, use the marketplace integration feature, also known as web store.

   • Use balloon price, Use retail price, Non-machinable, or Use oversized price: Depending on the mail class, you may have none, one, or more additional options.
4. Optional: Complete Additional Fields ...MORE

   • Package Description: Describe the contents. This is separate from a customs form that requires a description.
   • Reference ID: Enter your reference value. This might be your invoice number, the order number, or customer purchase order number, for example.
   • Group Code: Enter your group code. This might be your category, department, shipping, or other reference value, for example.
5. Optional or Required: Complete:
   • Email Notification: Send email shipment notification to the recipient.
   • Recipient Phone Number: Available only when required, such as for international shipping or mail class.
   • Ship Date.
6. Verify Printer Settings: Click Printer Setup.

7. Preview your label.

   This view shows you the general layout but not the actual mailpiece label.

8. Review Charges.
9. Verify label printing without wasting postage: Click Test Print.
10. Print the label: Click Print.
