About View Preferences

Address options include:

• Force Delivery Address to Capital Letters ...MORE To always display the delivery address in all upper case, select the Force Delivery Address to Capital Letters check box.
  
  All punctuation is also removed. (The US Postal Service prefers addresses printed in all capital letters when not barcoding.)

• Remove Blank Lines from Address ...MORE To always remove blank lines from addresses automatically, select the Remove Blank Lines from Address check box. Select this check box if you print from lists that have optional address lines.

• Allow larger, bold City-State-ZIP in Delivery Address for parcels ...MORE To automatically have the City-State-ZIP line of domestic shipping labels print in a larger bold font, select the Allow larger, bold City-State-ZIP in Delivery Address for parcels check box. This setting does not apply to cards, flyers, or large envelopes.

Design options include:

• Display Grid, Spacing ...MORE  DAZzle can display a grid on your envelope or label that you can use to verify the spacing and alignment of items on your layout. This option helps you improve the accuracy of your design.
  
  To improve the accuracy of your design, select the Display Grid check box.
  
  To set the spacing of the grid lines used in DAZzle’s grid and also the Snap to Grid option (next item), use the arrow buttons to select a value, or enter your own values in the grid spacing box to the right of the Display Grid, Spacing field. You can set any spacing from 0.01 inch to 1 inch.

• Snap to Grid ...MORE The Snap to Grid option helps you line-up different items exactly on your layout. Set the grid spacing in the Display Grid, Spacing  field (previous item).
  
  To have DAZzle automatically locate the upper left corner of every item on the nearest grid line when placed, moved or sized, select Snap to Grid.
  
  Note: You do not have to display the grid to use the Snap to Grid option.
  

• Display Ruler ...MORE To display a horizontal and vertical rulers in DAZzle’s window, select the Display Rule check box.
  
  The ruler can be a useful display option when you want to accurately locate your items on your layout. The ruler also shows the scale of the current layout. Because DAZzle automatically sizes your envelope or label to fit in the DAZzle window, it may be hard to tell the relationship of the displayed image to the actual size.

• Show Unprintable Area ...MORE To add red lines to the design window that show you where the unprintable area of your printer is, select the Show Unprintable Area check box.
  
  By avoiding the area between the lines and the edge of your mailpiece, you can eliminate some printing problems.

Tab options include:

• Show Quick Label tab ...MORE Select the check box to show the Quick Label tab. Clear the check box to hide the Quick Label tab.
  
  By default, the Quick Label tab is selected (enabled) for new installations.

The Class and Package Options include:

• Show all USPS-produced Flat Rate products ...MORESelect the check box to expand the list of the Priority Mail flat rate envelope package types that appear on the Type field of the Rate tab.
• Display "Use retail price" check box for First-Class Parcels ...MORESelect the Display "Use retail price" check box for First-Class Parcels check box to display the Use retail rates check box on the Postage tab of the Print dialog box and the Rate tab of the Postage Options dialog box. Clear this check box to hide the Use retail rates check box. USPS regulations state that you must use retail rates when including personal correspondence in your parcel.
