Select HS Tariff Number or Harmonization Code

When you are completing customs forms, the harmonization code provides a way to describe your package contents with a number that will be recognized in other countries regardless of the language. Harmonization codes are also known as HS Tariff Numbers.

Steps

Display the Customs Information tab:
- If you are printing from the Quick Label tab, click the Customs Form button.
- If you are printing from the Design tab, select the Customs Information tab on the Print dialog box.
On the Customs Information tab, click the HS Tariff Lookup button or the HTS button (without entering anything in the Description field).
Enter a Keyword for the item that you are sending.
Select the most appropriate description from the list.

This description overwrites anything that you have already entered in the Description field for the customs form. Only the first 6 digits of the HTS number appear in the HS Tariff Number field.
Click OK.
