Print Postage for Military and Diplomatic Mail (APO, FPO, and DPO) Destinations

Military Mail is a unique mailing category that uses domestic mail prices and in most cases requires a customs form.

Steps

  1. In DAZzle, open one of the APO integrated customs form layouts: Select File > Open Layout.

    Depending on how your Windows operating system has been configured, you might not see the .lyt part of the layout names.

  2. Enter the address: Select from the Address Book or double-click the delivery address.

    An example follows:

  3. Click OK.
  4. The label on the Design tab displays the address.

  5. Click Print.
  6. In the Type field, select the package type.
  7. In the Class field, select the domestic mail class.
  8. In the Weight field, select the weight.
  9. Select the Customs Information tab.

    DAZzle automatically selects the required customs form.

  10. Complete all fields on the Customs Information tab.
  11. Click the Additional Information button to enter License Number, Certificate Number, Invoice Number, Sender's Customs Reference, Importer's Customs Reference, or Comments.

  12. Click Print.

  13. Use the 2976-E USPS customs clear plastic envelopes, which are available from the USPS, to attach the customs forms to your package.

    Do not include the sender's copy in the plastic envelope if you selected it to print.
