Getting Started: First-Time Setup

DAZzle calculates postage based on weight and mail class (such as, First-Class Mail, Priority Mail, and so on) and can print the postage directly on your mailpiece or onto shipping labels.

Steps

1. Set up your postage account. ...MORE
   
   a. Sign up for a postage account at Endicia. You will receive your account number and other information through email notification.
   
   b. Run the DAZzle Account Setup wizard, and then buy postage.
2. Set up your printer. ...MORE
   
   a. Select File > Printer Setup.
   
   b. Select your printer from the list.
3. Run a test print. ...MOREIt is recommended that you use a basic mailpiece layout to perform a test print before you print with live postage.
   
   a. Select File > Printer Setup.
   
   b. In the Print dialog box, click the Test Print button to verify your printer settings.
   
   Important! You cannot mail Test Print envelopes because the postage is not valid.
4. Optional: Set up your list of contacts and customers through either:
   • The Address Book tab ...MORE DAZzle can store an unlimited number of addresses in one or more address books. For more information, see About Using the Address Book.
   • Microsoft Outlook ...MORE DAZzle can directly access your Outlook Contacts.For more information, see Start a New Address Book in Outlook.

5. After you have set up DAZzle, you can print labels through:
   • The Quick Label tab ...MORE The Quick Label tab consolidates many of the choices—such as mail class, weight, and insurance—onto one form; automatically uses the layout for you based on your choices; and lets you print one label at a time.
