Create a Canada Returns Shipping Label—Postage Log Tab

The following Steps describe how to manually create a Canada Returns shipping label through the Postage Log. For more information about Canada Returns shipping labels, see About Canada Returns Shipping Labels.

• Important! The displayed prices in Endicia Professional are estimates! The actual price depends on:
  • The currency exchange rate at the time of billing.
  • The actual weight and dimensions of the mailpiece, which might be different than what you had originally specified.

Steps

1. On the Postage Log tab, right-click the outbound Canada mailpiece, and select Print Returns Label. Alternately, on the toolbar, you can click the Returns button.

   The Order Lookup tab appears.

2. From the Print button (flyout) menu, select Create Canada Returns Shipment.

3. On the Canada Post Returns Shipment window, in the To area, complete the USA delivery address, phone, and email address.

   This is the address in the USA where the mailpiece will be returned to.

4. Optional: Change the Canada Post Returns Shipment Service mail class.

   Endicia Professional shows generic international returns mail class names. For a list of equivalent Canada Post mail classes, see International Returns Mail Classes.

5. Review or change the Weight, unit of measurement, and dimensions (L, W, H) in inches.
6. Optional: Select or enter Service Options:
   • Insurance and Value
7. Select a Non-Deliverable Option:
   • Return to Sender
   • Abandon
8. Select one or more Notifications options and enter the email address:
   • On Shipment
   • On Exception
   • On Delivery
9. Optional: Specify how to process the PDF label:
   1. Click Edit Return Label PDF Options.
   2. Select an option to:
      • Always save label to this directory and click Browse to navigate to the directory. MOREEndicia Professional automatically saves the PDF shipping label without prompting you. You should verify where this directory path is.
      • Prompt for location to save label. MORE Always display a dialog box for you to indicate where to save the PDF shipping label. You can also change the file name when you save the PDF.
      • Open the label with the installed PDF viewer. MORE Automatically displays the PDF shipping label in a viewer, such as Adobe Reader, from which you can view, download, save, print, or email the PDF shipping label.

10. Optional: Select Skip this dialog when creating return shipments.

    If selected, the Canada Post Returns Shipment window does not appear for subsequent shipments. To show this again, from the Print button menu, select Edit Canada Returns Options.

11. Click Create Shipment.

About Canada Returns Shipping Transaction Records

If you create Canada Returns shipping labels through Endicia Professional, you can view those transaction records on the Postage Log and the online account reports. Note that the DAZzle Postage Log does not show you transaction records of Canada Returns shipping labels that you create through Endicia Professional.
