Edit, Troubleshoot, and Verify the SQL Statements—Advanced

Before you perform test prints of your shipping labels, you can edit, troubleshoot, and verify the SQL statement that Endicia Professional uses to retrieve shipping order information.

• Important! This topic is for advanced users only. You must understand how to create SQL statements.

The following Steps assume that you have already:

• Established your data source connection.
• Created a SELECT statement.
• Connected your data fields using the Order Lookup Data Map or Batch Print Data Map or both (if you are using both).

• Note: The setup or changes that you make in the following Steps apply only to the current profile.

If you are using more than one profile, verify that you have selected the correct profile: On either the Order Lookup tab or the Batch Print tab, view or select the profile from the Active Profile field.

Steps

1. Select Edit > Preferences.
2. Select the Data Source and Post-Back tab.
3. Click the Configure button.
4. Select the Data Source that you want to edit.

5. Click the Advanced Editor button.

   Your SELECT statement appears in the SQL Editor, below the Execute button.

6. Enter any changes to the SQL statement.
7. For Order Lookup Only, in the $ORDERNUMBER field, enter an order number.
8. Click the Execute button.
