About Label Setup Options

The Name field is available editing if you click the New button.

For the columns (labels across the page as you read it), enter each of the following options (even if only one column):

• Number: The number of columns (labels) across the page. Enter 1 if a single label per page.

• Width: The width of each label (not the page nor the distance between labels). This should be the maximum area that can be printed on.

• Gap Between: The horizontal gap between each column (label). If the labels touch each other enter 0. This value is ignored if only one column is present.

• Left Margin: The distance from the left edge of the paper to the left edge of the first column (label).

For each row on a page (labels down the page as you read it), enter each of the following options (if only one row, then only one row for all continuous form labels is present):

• Number: The number of rows (labels) down the page. Enter 1 if a single label per page.

• Height: The height of each label (not the page nor the distance between labels). This should be the maximum area that can be printed on.

• Gap Between: The vertical gap between each row (label). If the labels touch each other enter 0. This value is ignored if only one row is present.

• Top Margin: The distance from the top edge of the paper to the top edge of the first row (label).

The margins that you set affect the postage insignia. The measurements are in inches.

Setting margins for a mailpiece is something that you do not usually need to change. Use this margins option only when you are using an unusual mailpiece.

Some labels have an uneven spacing between rows, for example, the Avery one-column laser labels—for example, Avery 2163. If this is the case with the labels that you are using, enter the following:

• Skip: The size of the gap (perforation). Measure the distance from the bottom of the label above the gap to the top of the label below the gap.

• Rows: Enter the number of the row after which the gap appears. For example, if there are three rows, a one-inch gap, and then three more rows, enter 3.

A split label is a multi-part label, such as some labels for DYMO LabelWriter printers or the docutab labels for Zebra printers. They are printed as if it were a single label, but the label is split into more than one part. DAZzle supports only up to two parts.

• Divided: Selections are: None, Horizontally, and Vertically

• inches from top: Enter the value in inches between the top of the label and the top of the page.

Select the Display label with rounded corners check box to see a more accurate representation of some labels with rounded (instead of square) corners.
