You can change the characteristics of the selected layouts for envelopes, labels, or flyers. This allows for customization of characteristics, such as size and margins. When you follow these steps to change a layout, you are overwriting or replacing the selected label layout of the same name.
Caution! Changing an existing layout affects every instance of this layout in other layouts. When in doubt, create a new layout instead of modifying an existing layout. It is not recommended that you change the standard settings for envelopes or flyers. Instead, add a new entry to the list.
Steps
From the Design tab, select Layout > Media.
In the Media dialog box, select Envelope, Label, or Flyer.
From the list that is to the right of the selected media, select the layout that is most similar to the new layout that you want to change.
Click the Setup button.
The Setup Options dialog box appears.
Enter new values for the various fields.
Envelopes and Flyers have settings in inches for dimensions and margins, including height, width, and left margin.
For labels, specify your settings for Columns, Rows, Margins (for each label), Perforation, Split Labels, and Display label with rounded corners. For more information, see About Label Setup Options.
